  • How will my :pulse appear in my device's Wifi settings ?

    The SSID to identify your pulse on the network can be found on the display of the unit, by scrolling through the display screens. Please ensure that Wifi is enabled in the options menu, and that Ethernet is disabled.

    Turn the knob until you see find a screen displaying the following information:
    Wifi: Soft AP
    Status: Ready
    IP 192.167.83.1
    ID Pulse083

    The ID 'Pulse083' will be listed on your devices' detected Wifi networks. Please select this network in order to gain access to the BLINK Hub.

    If you are accessing the BLINK Hub via a browser, rather than the app, you will need to enter the IP address in to your browser. Learn more about that here.

     

     

     

  • What are the pins used for in the :pulse and :wave?

     

    Lemo 2:

    Pin 1 – Ground

    Pin 2 – Power In (9-36V)

     

    Lemo 5:

    Pin 1 – Ground

    Pin 2 – LTC In/Out (it depends of the mode, it can be both: input or output)

    Pin 3 – Not in use

    Pin 4 – Power In (9-36V)

    Pin 5 – LTC Out

     

    Lemo 9:

    Pin 1 – Ground

    Pin 2 – LTC In/Out (it depends of the mode, it can be both: input or output)

    Pin 3 – Not in use

    Pin 5 – RX+ RS422

    Pin 6 – RX- RS422

    Pin 7 – TX+ RS422

    Pin 8 – TX- RS422

    Pin 9 – Not in use

  • Can I charge my :pulse via ethernet?
    1. When the pulse is connect via a suitable ethernet cable to the Arri Alexa camera then it can receive power via the ethernet cable. (PoE)
    2. When connected to a network you will only be able to charge via PoE if you have an older style of hub that powers a device all the time, not the modern intelligent type of router/switch that detects the power requirements of the connected devices.

     

  • Can I assign a static IP address to my :pulse?

    There is no facility for adding a static IP address to a pulse. The pulse derives it's ethernet IP address from a DHCP server on the network it is connected to or generates it's own in Soft AP mode.
